Will WoW: Shadowlands continue soon? A first hint of patch 9.1.5 has appeared in the game data and is fueling the hopes of the players.
In World of Warcraft, players were forced to expect a major content drought to come. But it could be shorter than previously feared. A first entry in the game files raises hopes that there could be a little replenishment earlier than planned.
This is the current state: In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands the air is out of the air. The last chapter of the current campaign has been unlocked and now the content drought begins, in which players mainly complete the raid Sanctum of Domination, “Mythic +” dungeons and PvP. New story content is no longer to be expected.
Due to the long waiting time that existed between Patch 9.0 and Patch 9.1, most players assume that it will now take 6 months or more until the next update.
What has now been discovered? As Wowhead reports, the first references to patch 9.1.5 were discovered in the game files, namely in the code of the interface add-ons. There is now a note that certain lines of code with Patch 9.1.5 are out of date and are no longer required and will therefore “be removed with the next expansion”.
Even if this is not yet a confirmation of a release date for Patch 9.1.5, this is the first indication of the next patch that there is at all. Therefore, many assume that the PTR for Patch 9.1.5 could start in the next few weeks. Then the waiting time would be a little shorter than everyone initially feared.
What could be in Patch 9.1.5? Patch 9.1.5 will traditionally be a rather smaller patch that mainly brings improvements and “bells and whistles”. Here Blizzard could revive old systems and bring a few innovations, but they turn out to be small. Examples would be:
- Some new world quests
- New cosmetic rewards
- Resurrecting The Brawler’s Guild in Shadowlands
- A couple of small side quests
- Improvements to Mythic +
