The first expansion to Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Winds of Magic, will hit us this August probably (this date window isn’t exact yet), beta test for PC expects somewhere in June.
Winds of Magic will feature new enemy faction called Beastmen, along with the Wind of Magic system of modifiers. According to Fatshark, the Beastmen is going to be “the toughest enemy faction” in the game. Every hero will also get a new weapon type to fit their fighting style, and for competitive types, Winds of Magic will add leaderboards, so you can display your skills.
Also new content will include new challenges, as eight “winds” offer players some fresh ways to play and “a nearly endless difficulty curve to challenge the toughest Vermintide 2 heroes”.
Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark says, “Winds of Magic is the next chapter in the Vermintide 2 saga, and it brings plenty of new material to the already well established Vermintide 2 universe. The Beastmen alone is a great addition, but combining it with new ways to play the game, new weapons, new challenges, and all the winds, will make Vermintide 2 look like a completely new game.”
