Update on the safety of the games in Guild Wars 2.

So, the developers of Guild Wars 2 ArenaNet have published something interesting, namely an update on game security and player reporting. and very few details.

This post is due to community concerns about hacking and some botting. The message mentions that each report is reviewed and reviewed by a member of their task force. They mention that security is also an ongoing process with additional improvements being implemented over time. However, they can’t go into details:

“While we can’t go into the exact specifics of our reporting and security processes, as this would compromise their effectiveness, we hope to clear up some misunderstandings about how we manage the game.”

Also, they mention that they can’t discuss individual accounts for some privacy reasons. This means that the final results of your particular report cannot be disclosed. They also describe the security of your account and sharing the good habits.

“This means that you don’t use the same password for your Guild Wars 2 account and other services like email. You should also enable two-factor authentication.”
