“Twitch Sells Out” show will be streamed at Amazon Prime Day: a shopping channel and esports tournaments

Twitch is taking an old school approach to Amazon Prime Day by running a two-day TV shopping channel livestream July 15 and 16.

What’s Up This Time?

The Twitch Presents channel will broadcast from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. PT, with Twitch streamers showcasing those Amazon Prime Day deals that will specifically be of interest to the Twitch community. That includes games and gaming hardware, of course, but also other electronics, kitchenware, and “some of Prime Day’s more…unusual items for sale.”

Twitch states that the event will be hosted by its biggest streamers. The promotional video for the upcoming day-long infomercial shows Streamers such as Jericho, AnneMunition, UmiNoKaiju, and Dexbonus, all eager to tell us about the savings to be had.

To keep things fresh during the seemingly endless onslaught of deals, presenters will also showcase previously unseen demos and gameplay from some of the “most anticipated” releases of the year. Twitch hasn’t commented on what these games might be, but it sounds like it might be worth keeping the stream running during the day, even if you’re not planning on buying anything, to see what that’s all about.

It’s important to mention that although the stream itself can be viewed by anyone, Prime access or not, only those with Prime in the US will be able to grab any of the offered items.
