So, the stress test for for Mortal Online 2 has been going on for almost a week. Star Vault CEO Henrik Nyström took to discord to explain what’s happening with the systems and improvements aimed at early access to the game.
Well, the Mortal Online 2 stress test seems to have been quite popular, with thousands of players joining in to break down the servers. According to Star Vault on their discord, the influx of players did just that, as the login servers prevented players from logging in, while desynchronization issues plagued the game, causing skipping and action delays. At the beginning of the stress test, the database was overloaded, but the team was able to fix it over the weekend.
Also, the team was very happy to report that client and server failures were relatively low. The stress test will also be extended for a few more days as more work is done to ensure a more stable experience. New server hardware along with some optimized code has been implemented over the past couple of days as improvements progress. Today, there are still high queues and problems with logging in, but there are still more optimizations, fixes, and improvements to the systems ahead. Players can also expect a new roadmap for April soon.
