The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – new details

The existence of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first revealed in early 2019. For developing a game based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, is responsible for studio Daedalic Entertainment.

At the Nacon Connect event, the creators showed a new trailer, in which producer Harald Riegler provided additional gameplay details and a demo. It became known that the game will be released in the fall of 2022 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an action adventure with stealth elements. We play the role of Smeagol / Gollum, who travels alone through Middle-earth, from the wastes of Mordor to the forests of the elves and the mines of Moria. The plot must intersect with important events in the history of the fantasy world, so in the campaign we will meet many famous characters, such as Gandalf, as well as heroes only briefly mentioned in the books.

The character will primarily climb and sneak, trying to remain unnoticed. But, if the opportunity presents itself, Gollum will not hesitate to attack by surprise, using every possible dirty trick. The game will also feature elements of platformer and parkour. We will make a number of decisions that affect the course of the adventure, and the actions will also be determined by the split personality of the protagonist.
