There are a lot of games that are often devoted to conflict and solving problems through violence, it’s very terrible. That’s why Darewise Entertainment co-founder and CEO Benjamin Charbit, who worked on such AAA titles as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and The Division. With going beyond life, however, Charbit follows its intuition and works to make more positive and combative-free games work.
By the way, in a new interview, Charbit talks in detail about this design direction, which, as readers remember, began in may with an update that temporarily disabled PvP.
“We started to feel some social responsibility to provide an experience that would be different. The Division, Assassin’s Creed are all amazing games, but it all comes down to what you want to do for a living. Today, we all want to create a super positive and super inclusive experience.”
The interview goes on to talk about how to enjoy the game through collaboration, as well as how to break the industry standard of following genre trends. The interview also praises how games are like meeting friends at a bar and how Life Beyond wants to become a social space for players to collaborate and enjoy. And as for PvP, Charbit seems to be leaning towards making it available through entering certain spaces for it.
As for the game itself, the latest test update has made a number of additions, improvements, and much more.
