Blue Protocol, announced last week, is an online action-RPG where you’ll need to team up with your anime buds to stop a charming world from being destroyed.
Trailer & Desription
The anime-styled game is built on Unreal Engine 4 and takes place in a world on the brink of destruction. Based on the description, it looks like there might be some space and time travel shenanigans. The teaser trailer shows the area we’ll be protecting, along with a bunch of flashy battles.
Expect a character creation system, different classes and weapons, and lots of multiplayer brawls where you can team up with mates to take down monsters. The world itself is a mystical place that used to be a hangout spot for gods, but now it’s full of humans and monsters. Between monster fights, there will be ancient ruins to explore, treasure to loot and lost tech to uncover.
Blue Protocol is coming to PC and, so far, has not been announced for any territory outside of Japan. Considering this looks to be a fairly large-budget production, and Bandai Namco isn’t one to leave any money on the table, we can have a hope for a western release.
The registration is open for the Japanese alpha test, if you’re able to access it, which will run from July 26 to July 28.
