The Division 2 details skill changes and other much requested features are now live on PTS

The Division 2 Title Update 5

The Division 2 Title Update 5 is now available on the Public Testing Server (PTS) for PC, allowing players a chance to test out some of the new content coming with Episode 1: D.C. Outskirts.

Update 5 Highlights

This week’s stream touched on many topics, the major of them are listed below:

  • Skills getting more changes on the Public Test Server
  • New difficulty level coming to the Operation Dark Hours raid
  • Shotguns are getting PvE buffs and PvP nerfs
  • Crafting and Recalibration will allow you to refine your gear much more in the late game

The biggest changes in the coming PTS patch are a variety of skill adjustments. Many skills have had their base cooldowns significantly reduced, and some have received substantial buffs to their damage. In addition, shields will be more effective thanks to a 15% increase to shield health.

The newly introduced Skill Haste stat has also been tweaked so that all Skill Haste mods provide twice as much of the stat. Also, following player feedback that shotguns feel a bit underwhelming in PvE, the devs intend to give them a buff, though they’ll be receiving a nerf on the PvP side of things.

Ubisoft doesn’t yet have a firm release date for Title Update 5 or Episode 1: D.C. Outskirts, but the current testing schedule is slated to end on July 10. Assuming everything works as intended, it’s possible Title Update 5 could be released later this month.
