The Bespin update in Star Wars Galaxies Legends is due out next week

The Bespin update in Star Wars Galaxies Legends is due out next week, and the team behind the server shared a little bit about what players should expect when going to Cloud  City, especially about player housing.

Also, in an article on the forums, the team seems to interview the administrator of the Cloud City, Lando Calrissian, talking about Bespin and what we should expect. The blog also gives you some insight into a feature like player housing. But unfortunately for those who are still hoping for apartments, when Bespin is released on May 4, you will still need to wait, as the team has confirmed that this will not be a 1-day feature.

Speaking as a Calrissian, the team said they were “on the foreman’s ears every day to see how close” the apartments are to being ready, but unfortunately there are still “space bullets and other bugs” to deal with before they are ready.

“Oh yes, I was definitely given to understand how people tend to live in the clouds, and I can’t say I blame them! I can tell you here right now, although the apartments WON’T be a Day 1 feature. I’ve been talking to the foreman every day to find out how close we are to getting our apartments ready, but we’re still fumigating the place from space slugs and other insects before we can safely hand out key cards to future residents. But don’t worry, I’ll make sure we have something written about the apartments soon.”

Also, the team hinted that housing for players is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what awaits players when they go to Bespin, stating that “there is still a lot of room for growth for Bespin.” You should definitely check out the blog post on the forums – in-universe interviews are a fun way to talk about upcoming content in your expansion, so it will be interesting to see if the SWG Legends team does this for future expansions.
