Stranger Things Season 3 reaches to us on July 4th. A mobile game based on the popular sci-fi/horror series will arrive on iOS and Android platforms somewhere in 2020. Nowadays pretty much all major MMOS like Black Desert or Bless Unleashed released their counterpart mobile version.

Another One To Smartphones

It has been announced by Netflix at the streaming company’s E3 Coliseum panel on Wednesday. The title of the adaptation is yet to know, the game will be the third mobile one connected to the show, after this summer’s Stranger Things 3: The Game, and comes from the Helsinki-based studio Next Games.

“We are huge fans of Stranger Things and thrilled to work together with Netflix to bring our shared vision of Stranger Things into life in a mobile game format. Our core focus will be to deliver on Stranger Things’ rich and intense themes like friendship and supernatural adventure, and translate these into snack-sized entertainment on your mobile device. Combined with Netflix’s second-to none ability to reach audiences across the globe, we will deploy all of our accumulated creative and technological expertise to create a game for the fans of the series all around the world.”

The mobile game will reimagine the Stranger Things world in the style of an 80’s Saturday morning cartoon. Through location-based mechanics and Google Maps integration, players can explore The Upside Down hidden around them in their daily travels and work with fellow fans to fight back its emerging evils.

We’re not sure, if Netflix wants to monetise the that game or just use it as a promotion for the third season of Stranger Things. The series has been widely successful and the game will certainly find its players amongst the series’ fanbase.
