A new community update from the team on Star Wars Battlefront II shows some of the new additions coming to the game. After a long time being requested by fans, Droidekas will finally appear in Battlefront II. Plus the Tx-130 heavy tank. There are also a couple of small character additions coming in the update. These changes likely will be out early next week.
“In this update, droidekas roll out on the battlefront, TX-130 Saber-class Fighter Tanks strengthen the forces of the Galactic Republic, and capital ships station themselves above Naboo in Capital Supremacy. Find out all the details in our latest Community Update video.”
Droidekas are a Separatist reinforcement that come armed with heavy high-rate twin blasters and a protective shield, although the latter comes at the expense of firepower and mobility. The droideka is slow when moving on three legs, but it can roll into a ball to move more rapidly to a new position. Meanwhile, the TX-130 can fire rockets individually from both sides, or fire from both sides at once for a heavier attack.
New appearances will also arrive. For Anakin, you will be able to use the General Skywalker appearance, and for the Clone Army: the 212th Recon Division and 41st Scout Battalion.
All the update inclusions will go live on June 26th. The video also gave a glimpse of future content arriving after June’s update, including a new planet and new ways to play the game, but when this stuff is out remains unknown.
