In September on 24th to 27th in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo Game Show was planned. Recently was announced that they are cancelled. Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) helps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Everything is rescheduled. Organizers explain their priorities. Health and safety of their visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders is what matters now.
According to their official website and the flash report in 2018, they made a Record of 298,690 visitors in total. Meanwhile, Tokyo Game Show is running each year since 1996.
Although CESA isn’t the only one who canceled their event. Organizers such as Paris Game Week, Game Developers Conference, Evo, E3, San Diego Comic-Con, QuackeCon and GamesCom are canceling as well.
At the same time Gen Con, PAX West, and Blizzard Entertainment’s annual BlizzCon who are grand organizers, are still discussing. It is unclear if they are going to cancel their events or no.
