Mortal Kombat 11 has become the best-selling game of past April, specifically considering the period of April 7th through May 4th. And not only just that, the game has taken the first place on every platform: the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox One.
The numbers are quite impressive: it’s also reported that Mortal Kombat 11 is the second best-selling game of 2019, the record was set by Kingdom Hearts 3. This is the first time when a third-party title has been Nintendo Switch’s best-selling game since Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was rolled out in 2017. The third place was taken by MLB 19: The Show, the best-selling sports game of 2019 so far. Following this are The Division 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Grand Theft Auto V.
According to Ed Boon, the creative director of the Mortal Kombat series, the 10th part sold the 11 million copies so far, and that’s A LOT for a fighting game. Actually that makes Mortal Kombat X the best-selling fighting game of all times. The question is, will the 11th part be able to repeat the success?
