According to Microsoft and Mojang, they are going to de-list Minecraft: Story Mode from digital storefronts later this month.

Since TellTale Games has been closed, there’s no one to support the game. Thus, starting on June 25th, Seasons 1 and 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode will be removed from all online retailers. If you want to buy some of 13 episodes, make sure, you not only bought, but installed every of them before the set date comes. After June 25th you can’t redownload them if they have been deleted, even if you have paid earlier.

What About Steam & Netflix?

Yet it’s unknown how this new removing from market will affect the Steam versions of the games, as they are still can be played even though they are not purchasable since last year. Usually, Steam games remain attached to user accounts even when they are removed from the store.

It’s also unclear, whether this will affect Minecraft: Story Mode on Netflix, which is interactive and covers the first five episodes of season 1 (the PC, console and mobile versions received three additional episodes as paid DLC). Season 2 never made it onto the service.

Minecraft: Story Mode can still be downloaded on PC, Mac, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android and iOS up until June 25.
