In Patch 9.1.5 WoW listens to its players – gives them exactly what they want

Patch 9.1.5 brings some World of Warcraft players a few nice details that they had to wait a long time for: more character customizations.

World of Warcraft Patch 9.1.5 is not yet available on the PTR, but Blizzard has already commented on the content. Especially fans of character adaptations should get their money’s worth, because Blizzard donated some improvements to the neglected races. Specifically, there are more options for Nightborne and Lightforged Draenei.

Why these two races? Nightborn and Lightforged Draenei are both races with extremely little customization options, which was criticized when these allied races were released. When Blizzard announced at BlizzConline in February that there would be no more character customizations for the time being, the outcry was great. The developers have apparently taken this to heart and want to bring more of the following options for Nightborne and Lightforged Draenei:

  • Hairstyles
  • Hair colors
  • Beards
  • Skin color
  • accessories
  • horns
  • Tail length
  • Tattoos

But a few other races can also look forward to little things, such as options for setting the ear size of Void elves – here you will probably simply take over the possibilities of the Blood elves.

What else does the patch bring? But the patch brings even more adjustments, which will especially please druids and players of the Nightfae covenant. Druids are supposed to get “new travel forms”, while night fae get a completely new possibility for their soul form. In the future, you can choose a “small animal figure”, such as squirrels or other small animals from the Ardenweald. However, this transformation can only be used in quiet areas because it is so small and cute.

There will also be the option of choosing a random one of the unlocked characters when transforming the soul shape. So you no longer have to choose a single figure in the heart of the forest.

Last but not least, the patch also brings new toys with it. However, details have not yet been given and will only come when the patch is playable on the PTR – that should be the case in the next few days.

What’s next? Also for the future, Blizzard wants to deviate from the plan not to bring any new adjustments. Accordingly, there will be even more new options in the future. According to the developers, some adjustments for the Highmountain Tauren are on the program after the innovations from patch 9.1.5. It should be a few months before the first pictures are available – because that sounds more like material for patch 9.2.

What do you think of the announcement? A good thing to please fans? Or is that a desperate filler for “real” content?
