Starbreeze has revealed the first information about Payday 3, the sequel to the cooperative shooter series in which players take part in robberies.
The action takes place in an area inspired by Hollywood. The player will play the role of a new member of the gang, gradually rising through the ranks in the group’s hierarchy.
Unlike the previous parts of the series, the project is created not on the Diesel engine, but on the Unreal Engine 4. New technology is used for certain locations.
Similar games include Destiny 2 and Division 2.
Game Director Eric Vonnery explains: “The Payday universe has an ever-evolving storyline that has been building over the years. The gang has earned a reputation for achieving ever higher goals, carrying out insane heist plans and battling the toughest foes. And despite all this, the Banda continues to remain at the top. “
The developers also published the first concept art of the game. In the picture, members of the group stand on the roof of a skyscraper next to a helicopter and hold bags of loot in their hands.
Payday 3 will launch in 2023 on Koch Media’s new publishing brand, Prime Matter.
