FIFA 22 gives you special cards in a new event

EA has announced a new promo for FIFA 22 with “Next Generation”, where you can get hold of free special cards. We explain to you how the event works and what new cards are available.

With the new Next Generation Promo, EA is celebrating decisive moments in the careers of young players who could become world stars. A total of 6 new special cards come into play, one of which every FIFA player can dust off.

This is how the promo works: To get one of the six new players, all you have to do is log into FIFA 22 by January 14, 2022. If you did that, you will receive a presumably random, exchangeable next-generation card from December 15th.

The campaign is reminiscent of a login campaign from last FIFA year. Back then there was a free David Beckham card.

Next Generation offers these special cards

These are the new cards: The new promo offers a total of 6 new cards, where the first thing that catches your eye is Kylian Mbappé. Curiously, the French receive a weaker card compared to their normal gold card. His rating is reduced from 91 to 86 and especially his previously strong shot values suffer from the downgrade. In addition, Mbappé changes position to the left wing.

The remaining cards will all be improved. Foden (85), Pulisic (83) and Hernandez (85) get one point higher in the overall rating and Bellingham even improves by 2 points compared to his standard card.

However, the strongest upgrade will be given to Camavinga. His rating improves from 78 to 81.

The new next-generation special cards:

  • LF: Kylian Mbappé (86)
  • CM: Eduardo Camavinga (81)
  • CM: Jude Bellingham (81)
  • ZOM: Phil Foden (85)
  • LF: Christian Pulisic (83)
  • Course: Theo Hernandez (85)

What do you think of the new next-generation cards? Are you looking forward to a free card? Or do you prefer completely different games, such as Destiny 2 or Black Desert?
