Fallout 76 lags behind in popularity compared to other looter-shooters like Outriders. This time Fallout 76’s dev team gives update 8.5 to players, which includes the ProSnap Deluxe Camera, main and upgraded repair kits, and balances to aluminum. Apart from that, the team fixed some bugs like the endless loading screen some players experienced and running incorrectly UI features.
New camera
The ProSnap Deluxe is the main point in the suite of additions this time. Players can find the broken camera belonged to a tourist corpse that died before he entered a vault. Once the camera becomes functional, it will let players start the “Bucket List” mission and other quests. Camera equips just like a weapon, and the assault button takes a picture that can be found in your Photomode Gallery. Players can use workbench to put mods to the camera, especially new lenses.
The repair kits
The repair kits have got the majority of flak since this patch was announced. The main repair kit is based at the Atomic Shop, whilst the upgraded repair kit is a rarity from the Scorchbeast Queen similar to Outriders Boosting services. It’s in plans to add the upgraded ones to future updates.
A word from developers
Bethesda expected the backlash from players, so it said that it decided to not including goods in the Atomic Shop that can give people competitive privileges. Bethsoft is convinced that the repair kits won’t give them those privileges; it calls the kits a “convenient option” instead. But the devs team said, “If we find that repair kits do offer any sort of competitive advantage once they are available, we will make any changes necessary to ensure that advantage is removed.”
Meanwhile, many fans, particularly replying to the Twitter post, think that the repair kits on sitting on the Atomic Shop as another robbery from the developers. Some of them don’t see any problems with the additions at all.
