Exciting new games still to come in 2020

2020 might have a rough start in real life with covid-19, but gaming wise year is expected to be a bumper, with 2 new consoles(Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5,), bunch of new and exciting games and of course more and more games and a free version coming to Google’s cloud based gaming platform Stadia.

In 2020 we have some long-awaited sequels and big names, Tomb Rider, The last of Us 2 and more, Here is the list of some of the biggest and most exciting new games coming our way this years:

Watch Dogs: Legion

Latest and greatest, third in the watch dogs series will take place in dystopian version of London. Player will try and hack private organisation Albion,which has grown into a menacing surveillance state that’s distributed riot drones across the capital to keep people in line.

Release date: TBC 2020

Cyberpunk 2077

The man, The legend, Meme superstar, Keanu Reeves stars in this dystopian RPG game, where player takes a role of a mercenary in the open world Night City, California. Developer of this game is well known CD Projekt Red, creators of Witcher 3.

Release date: September 17 on Windows, PS4, Stadia and Xbox One

Avengers from Marvel

The mighty Avengers will hit the market on May 15 2020 and will feature our favourite characters, from film series, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black widow. The story in the game does not follow Marvels Cinematic timeline, in game player will be a part of a group reforming after being apart for five years to save the world from an imminent threat.

Release date: May 15, 2020 on Stadia, Windows, PS4, Xbox One

Resident Evil 3

A remake of 1999’s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the game follows protagonist Jill Valentine as she attempts to escape a zombie apocalypse, and the clutches of Nemesis, an intelligent bioweapon. Jill Valentine is one of the last remaining people in Raccoon City to witness the atrocities Umbrella performed. To stop her, Umbrella unleashes their ultimate secret weapon: Nemesis!
The new Resident Evil will take same approach to the recent Resident Evil remakes and will be a third-person shooter, with online multiplayer mode called Resistance.

The Last of Us 2

Long awaited second installment of our favourite post-apocalyptic fiction games will soon be here to explore, may 29th to be exact. Set several years after the original, it sees an older Ellie set out intent on revenge against foes unknown, and seemingly reuniting with surrogate dad Joel in the process. The gut punching ending of the original lives long in the memory and the The Last of Us 2 is bound to deal with the consequences. We can’t wait.

Release date: May 29, 2020 on PS4 only

Minecraft Dungeons

Who does not know about minecraft right? Most of us have played or at least have heard about this block-based game where you can build anything ! New Minecraft Dungeons is  a dungeon crawler game where the player explores randomly-generated dungeons, fighting randomly-generated monsters and dealing with traps and puzzles.

Release date: April 2020 on macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One

Halo Infinite

The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries for Xbox and Windows. Halo Infinite continues the Halo 5: Guardians storyline and takes the franchise in ambitious and unexpected directions, powered by the all-new Slipspace Engine. Most likely Halo will be one of the flagship games for this console in this year.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Five long years after its E3 2015 reveal, Final Fantasy VII Remake — rather its first “episode” — will be released on March 3. It requires two Blu-ray discs and covers the Midgar portion of the original.
