Diablo 2: Resurrected: Fans are thrilled with the new trailer

In the new trailer for Diablo 2: Resurrected, the great evils Baal, Mephisto and Diablo are presented in stylish, improved graphics.

The new trailer for the remaster Diablo 2: Resurrected Carry Services revolves around the three big villains of the game, the demons Mephisto, Baal and Diablo. It is a compilation of the story cutscenes of the original game, which now shine in stylish new graphics and at the same time look beautiful and really disgusting.

In the trailer we follow the journey of the person Marius, who joins the dark wanderer and walks with him through the human world, Sanctuary. The events that happen during this journey set the stage for the Diablo 2 story.

The archangel Tyrael also appears in the trailer and does everything in his power to prevent the great evils from breaking out of their prisons.

This is behind the trailer: In the lore of the Diablo universe, the burning hells are ruled by powerful demon lords. They were born from the seven heads of the original evil Tathamet, three of which have special status. There are:

  • Baal, Lord of Destruction
  • Mephisto, lord of hatred
  • Diablo, Lord of Terror

They come from the three dominant heads of Tathamet and are therefore more powerful than their lower evil siblings. Since ancient times they have led the armies of the hells against the high heavens in order to destroy the angels. All three brothers have won numerous victories in the eternal war, but none of them were decisive.

After a revolt of the lesser evils in the Burning Hells, the brothers were banished to the human world, where they wielded their corrupting influence. They were captured in magical artifacts called soul stones by the Horadrim, an ancient order of magicians.

This is Tyrael: The Archangel of Justice is one of the 7 members of the Angiris Council who rule over the High Heavens. He has shown great interest in humans since the discovery of the Sanctuary and is one of the few who supports them in their fight against the rulers of Hell.

So he visited the human world regularly, since he firmly believed that humanity has the potential to fight on the side of the angels against the demons. So he learned of the banishment of the great evils and their influence on humanity and decided to interfere.

Fans celebrate the trailer and the nostalgia. In the comments under the trailer videos on Youtube and on reddit, fans are enthusiastic about the new chic look of the cut scenes. Many of the comments say that the video is exactly as they remembered it from the original. Others say they grew up on Diablo 2 and are now feeling like teenagers again.

In general, there is a good mood in the comments below the trailers:

“Can’t it be the 23rd already? I’m already trembling with anticipation for this remaster ”- ʀ ᴏ ꜱ ᴇe-Vlog Go to My Channel

“I got goosebumps. The cinematic at the end of Act 3 is still my all time favorite cinematic. ” – Duster TheWind
“I can’t wait another week! Give it to me now! ” – KID-KARMA
“I swear I’ll cry the first time I play it and watch the full intro” – Javier L

But one thing seems to bother the longtime fans. Some of them expressed disappointment that the archangel Tyrael’s voice was likely to have been changed (via reddit).

This change was not so well received by some of the fans, even if it did not disturb the general anticipation that much.
