Dead by Daylight gives you 800,000 blood points, Halloween event starts

The Halloween event “The Midnight Grove” in Dead by Daylight has started. There are lots of cool rewards – and blood points.

Only a few days ago the patch 5.3.0 appeared in Dead by Daylight and brought the new survivor Mikaela Reid. Now the Halloween event is already active and brings new activities and playable cosmetic items with it. We reveal what you need to know about the event.

What kind of event is that? The Halloween event “The Midnight Grove” brings a number of innovations from which players benefit and which even have little impact on the game. During the event, pumpkins can appear anywhere on the map (usually at the unused spawn points of the totems) that can be destroyed by survivors and killers. The pumpkins grant additional blood points when destroyed and sometimes a “trick” (a debuff) or a “treat” (a strengthening buff). For example, destroying a pumpkin can either trigger a small speed boost or slow it down for survivors.

New Rift gets bonus progress: Almost at the same time as the event, the new Rift “Crescendo” started – the Rift is, so to speak, the “Battle Pass” of Dead by Daylight, which grants additional cosmetics. This time the focus is on the trickster and the survivor Yun-Jin Lee, who get some cosmetics and a lot of story.

Especially cool: During the Halloween event, there are bonus challenges that grant new outfits for the doctor and Mikaela Reid, the new survivor – and completely free of charge. These bonus challenges also grant progress with the current “Crescendo” rift. So it’s twice as worthwhile to take these bonuses with you.

Free blood points for everyone: As usual with Dead by Daylight, there are significantly more blood points at the Halloween event. This is mainly due to the new offerings (pumpkin seeds) that you can find in most blood networks. These transform some generators and hooks into event objects that grant additional points when used (repaired or hung).

As a survivor, you can recognize the event generators by the fact that they are decorated with a small pumpkin and entwined with tendrils. The event hooks are also decorated, but also give off an orange aura instead of the red aura for the killer.

In addition, there are a whopping 666,666 blood points just for logging in during the event. As a bonus, another 200,000 blood points are waiting as a small compensation for some server problems in the last few days. That adds up to a proud 866,666 blood points.

How long does the event last? The Halloween event in Dead by Daylight runs for 2 weeks, so until November 4th. Most of the rewards can be earned within a few hours, although some of them will only be activated in the second half of the event (on October 28th).
