Amazon’s F2P shooter Crucible is set to release today on Steam.
As a quick reminder, Crucible is the F2P shooter from Amazon Game Studios described as a “free-to-play team-based action shooter where your gameplay is defined by the choices you make.”
Players pick one of 10 Hunters, each with their own abilities. They get the chance to upgrade these abilities as they hunt for a resource called Essence. The game also sports several different modes called Heart of the Hives, Harvester Command, and Alpha Hunters.
Heart of the Hives includes two teams of four players fighting against hives spawning across the map. The main goal is to capture the heart of the hives, with three captures seeing victory. Harvest Command pits two teams of eight players in a game of capture points. Capture and hold certain points for Essence. Alpha Hunters is basically just two teams of eight in a straight up fight.
Despite an earlier promise where the Steam page indicated, “Coming Soon,” that seems to now be resolved. The game appears to now be available.
