The team behind Legends of Aria, Citadel Studios, reports that they are working on the theme of a Viking-themed fantasy RPG called The End.
This intriguing news was published earlier by PC Gamer, who explained that you will eventually experience single-player quests for relics that will provide you with spells and various enchantments. The fight is described as a hack and Slash-oriented action style instead of the more traditional statistics-based RPG combat.
While discussing with PC Gamer, the team talked about Magi and spells, saying:
“Many spells are cast on the ground, not’ removed ‘ or launched like a projectile. This offers a very unique and tactile casting experience and offers a first-person Twitch element, but with a skill curve that welcomes newcomers and tests more advanced players.”
There is also a multiplayer aspect that allows players to team up with four other players while you battle for permanent domains. Players will have to summon the enmity stone, which immediately declares an enmity with the other warband player you will be fighting in. According to Citadel Studios, they purposefully keep warbands small to ensure that “the action is fully accessible to players who can’t or don’t want to be part of a large team.”
There is also a feat system that tracks your records, including fights, killing monsters, and much more. Players will be able to preview PC Gamer.
