The Kaivax Community manager has updated the forums with a series of changes that are being sent to the World of Warcraft Public Test Area. Patch 9.0.5 will return Valor points to the upgradable Heroic Trapezoidal Distortion Gear and apply settings to legendary items and Pact abilities.
So, the changes in the field of public tests are significantly different from the most common patches, as it focuses on systems in response to community feedback. The updated Mythical Keystone Gear is one of the changes that players will see on the PTR. Players will be able to upgrade their Mythic Keystone gear from level 200 to level 220 by completing certain achievements, as well as valor points that can be earned by completing Mythic Keystone Dungeons or Covenant Summons.
“This update will be slightly different from our regular patches. It’s almost entirely focused on systems, responding to community feedback on rewards, performing customization that requires the kind of notifications and iterations that PTR allows, and fixing a number of bugs that are beyond our ability to fix.”
The Covenant Ability and Legendary Item Customization will also be a major change that players will see in 9.0.5. Kaviax mentioned that balancing these systems was a touchy subject, given the resources that players have invested in these systems. However, changes are coming, and PTR is the perfect place for players to give their feedback on anything before it hits the live servers. Blizzard is working hard on fixes and further tweaking World of Warcraft after the successful launch of the Shadowlands expansion.
