Camelot Unchained Current 90-Day Plan while Teasing The next

An extensive update came recently by March Jacobs from the Camelot Unchained team. He has summarized the current 90-day plan in a recent blog post. He also teased work for the next 90-day plan.

Mark said that despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, the team is still working hard on the 90-day plan. Also, Mark told us about the latest update on the current plan. The update takes a look at:

  • Visual update to Cherry Keep
  • Visual Improvements to CU using new Engine Technology
  • New CU Scenario
  • RvR Battleground Scenario
  • New Siege Engines
  • Scripted events using Overmind
  • Updates to CU Characters
  • Updates to abilities
  • Updates to art
  • Warbands
  • UI Updates
  • New class trio – The Devout
  • Planning for next class with consideration of bringing in of an “Extender” class, Spirit Mages
  • Review of crafting system and next steps
  • Live Service Stability and Scaling
  • Additional Lore

The RvR scenario has been going through testing in the last couple of weeks,

“The general game loop of keeps, towers, and keep lords have been implemented and the realm ownership system is working to keep the score of the scenario. A suite of new systems have been implemented to enhance this gameplay experience.”

The current 90-day update also touches on engine updates to address performance. It also touches older video cards, more extensive graphics configurations, and more. Mark spoke about the next 90-day plan, but he didn’t reveal too many details,

“While the team is still filling out the details, there are a number of items that are extremely important to me that will be a part of the plan. Not the whole plan by far, but just some key things I’d like to give you ahead of time.”

Performance, crafting, scouts, a new siege scenario, bug fixing, class balancing, new races, and 24×3 servers are the targets for the next plan.
