Most recently, there was a situation when Blizzard / Activision decided to close their office in Versailles in order to “adapt” to their needs in a competitive industry. Today, several unions called for a strike in an attempt to “protect our jobs and save our company.”
In a very good call to action request, CTG, SPECIS-UNSA and CFE-CGC employees of the Versailles OFFICE, which is currently scheduled to close, were asked to strike and try to stop the loss of about 285 seats. Unions are trying to stop justifying the lack of support for Blizzards over the years and empathy in the fight against the current pandemic as reasons why the office should remain open.

A lot of comments on the tweet say thank you for your support. But here are a few comments that are puzzling how the strike will keep the office open, especially when everything points to Blizzards ‘ deteriorating working conditions and lack of Blizzard training over the years, which unions say will put many former employees in a difficult position when looking for other jobs.
By the way, Blizzard recently released a preview patch for World of Warcraft Shadowlands. We will hope that this drop-in doesn’t have a major i
mpact on the current development of Shadowlands, and when it finally comes out, we may start to see more players refusing to play the new expansion as they stand with these Versailles employees, as some have already decided to do.
