Blackwood’s opening date has been announced.

So, Zenimax Online Studios has announced that a preview event for Blackwood, the big content chapter for the year-long Elder Scrolls Online adventure Gates of Oblivion, is scheduled for March 31.

The event will take place on March 31 at 12p PDT / 3p ET and will be streamed live on their official Twitch channel. This event will provide an early glimpse into the Blackwood chapter, in which players embark on an adventure to Cyrodiil’s Leiaviin and the Gideon of the Black Swamp. The preview show will start at 1: 30 am ET.If you join the stream, you will be eligible for Twitch drops, but be sure to link your account so that you don’t miss the drops. These drops will include the box of the Crown of Ouroboros and the Fire Pony pet of Atronach.

But The Gates of Oblivion adventure kicked off earlier this month with the Flames of Ambition DLC hitting PC for the first time with consoles following shortly after. The DLC included two dungeons called Black Drake Villa and The Cauldron, providing some backstory for the upcoming year of content.

But if you missed it, then the champions system has undergone a major overhaul. Finally, the MMO is doing pretty well with player numbers, and the game will add 3 million new players by 2020. This brings the total number of players over a lifetime to over 18 million.
