Battlefield 2042: The beta will begin soon

Today, October 6, the Battlefield 2042 Early Access Beta kicks off for pre-orderers. This is the starting signal for the latest part of the popular series.

When does it start? Pre-orderers of Battlefield 2042 can start the beta on Wednesday, October 6th at 9:00 a.m. CEST. Anyone using Xbox Game Pass or EA Play will also have access.

Two days later, on Friday, October 8th, the Open Beta will start at 9:00 a.m. for everyone who wants to take part – without pre-ordering or subscription. The beta is available to all players on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

In both cases you can download the game in advance from now on. On Xbox and PlayStation, however, you need Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus.

The beta will run until 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 10th.

Update 9:18 a.m.: There are more reports of problems. Players report that they are either stuck in the login or not allowed to play at all. Some EA Play users say they have been told they need to pre-order before they can play.

Update 9:08 am: Some players report that they cannot start games because of an “Unknown Error”. We also had this problem in the preview. The remedy is to simply try again and again until it works. Can you already play?

Update 8:58 a.m .: The servers seem to be already live – we can already log in. The beta starts!

What’s in the beta? You will be able to test the multiplayer mode of Battlefield 2042, but here only the “Conquest” mode on the “Orbital” map according to current information. You have 4 of the previously presented specialists at your disposal. The beta will only be available in English.

Battlefield 2042 – Leaks and Release

Already in the run-up there were leaks about the beta of Battlefield 2042. Some participants of a pre-test are said to have broken their silence and spoke to the journalist Tom Henderson. His article states that one of the biggest criticisms is that the cards are too big.

There are also some discussions in advance on the subject of cheaters. The anti-cheat protection of Battlefield 2042 is said to have been cracked before the beta and a cheat manufacturer already predicted that the game would be contaminated with cheaters.
