Ashes of Creation main designer left his workplace

The main game designer of Ashes of Creation left his job

Intrepid has announced that Lead Game Designer Jeffrey Bard has left the Ashes of Creation development team. For the last 5 years he has been working on this MMORPG and is now going to continue his journey in the field of virtual reality.

Creative Director Stephen Sharif, along with senior designers, will take over Jeff’s responsibilities in the meantime. At the same time, the studio will continue to look for new employees to develop the game, which it has been doing since its inception. Here’s what the now former game designer wrote in his farewell letter:

“My dear Ashes community,

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I announce my departure from the Intrepid team. The last 5 years in the studio have been an incredible experience for me, with so many memories that I will always cherish … I learned a lot, grew up as a person and as a designer, and I will always look back and value my time here. Luckily, Ashes of Creation is in a great location, surrounded by great people who work tirelessly. This will continue in the future, and I will continue to follow the development of the game as part of the community.

I will miss each of you. For those I met at PAX, Gamescom, GDC … those I spoke to on Discord and those I haven’t had a chance to say hello to. You are an important part of this process, and this is one of the things that I will miss the most. There is nothing like this game, and of course nothing like this community!

Bye everyone! Stay tuned, and if you follow me, you can find me hiding in an Ashes of Creation booth at some future PAX! See you in the game.

With love,

Jeffrey Bard ”

We should be thankful for his great job and wish hiss career to increase!
