Appeal in connection with the “unprecedented surge” of Final Fantasy XIV.

So, Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV, wrote a certain appeal in connection with the “unprecedented surge” in the popularity of the game and, as a result, problems with the servers.

More recently, it became known that the game will kick the character for AFK — this is one of the measures taken. In the letter, Yoshida-san said that the US has already added server capacity, but the rest of the regions will have to wait. Employees can’t physically stay in data centers because of the virus, so they make do with half measures.

Free accounts during the queue period will not be able to enter the game at all — only subscribers. This is the second time that Naoki Yoshida apologizes and takes responsibility — the first was when the game failed and went to be redone.
