Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment has published its financial report for the first half of 2021. In addition to the numbers, with which, in short, everything is fine, the developers have shared updated information on current projects.
Control audience has reached over 10 million players. A co-op spin-off Condor and an unnamed franchise project with a larger budget (most likely a direct sequel) are in development, currently in concept stage. Both will be published by 505 Games.
A small team at Remedy continues to work on the story mode for the CrossfireX and Crossfire HD shooters. Launch is still scheduled for later this year.
The AAA project for Epic Games has entered a full production phase. According to insiders, this is Alan Wake 2. A second smaller game set in the same franchise is still under active development.
The sixth project of the studio – the shareware cooperative game Vanguard – is developing at a good pace. Internal and closed external gameplay tests are already underway.
By the end of June, the Remedy Entertainment team had grown to 293 members. The studio is happy with the current situation and continues to develop a multi-project development model to increase the frequency of new games being released.
