10,000 accounts were blocked in Phantasy Star Online 2.

So, in almost three weeks, more than 10,000 accounts were blocked in Phantasy Star Online 2.

These bans were posted on October 2 and 14, as RMT (real money transfers) occurred and, of course, violated the terms of use. If you are not familiar with RMT, it is basically buying or selling game data (Meseta in PSO 2) for real money from various external sites that have nothing to do with Sega.

The reporting period was 25 September-15 October, when 10,153 cases were registered, and the total number of cases reached 31,611. Permanent bans were introduced. The team actually reminds everyone that this is a potentially criminal act,

“We would also like to point out that there is a possibility of engaging in real criminal activity through the purchase of Meseta from these RMT sites, such as cases where Meseta was stolen from another player through unauthorized access to their account. In this regard, we strongly recommend that players do not contact RMT.”
