Well, the Blade & Soul Revival Unreal Engine 4 overhaul page has received an update, this time it’s about the hardware, the interrupt system, the combat interface, and much more.

This Blade & Soul equipment system seems to be undergoing some changes, as the team talks about their existing way to level up the equipment. NCsoft states that while this system “worked well”, it definitely has flaws. This way, Blade & Soul players will no longer need to target mythic-rank dungeons to level up items to mythic-rank.

“Mythical rank items will retain the same requirements for XP growth, but getting small rewards to break through certain stages will no longer be necessary. When dropped, the item will be an already filled form item, just like the current mythic rank item. However, these items will have random bonuses, so it will take some time to purchase the best version.”

And the Blade & Soul team also addresses the concerns that this new system can make mythic-rank items less valuable, although the team seems to be amazed at how the new method is applied when weapon items, heart, pet, soul, and talismans are not affected at first. By the way, in addition to the changes in the update, a new system of insignia is being introduced, giving players the opportunity to better “define their style and role more specifically.”This will happen in the second mythical dungeon, although NCsoft states that this may change.Blade & Soul also addresses the fact that players can buy materials for growth, stating that it “does not encourage players to engage in content.”

“In light of this, we plan to introduce a new pass with future updates. This will act as a “Subscription Type” model that allows players to receive benefits while playing. Players will still be able to buy direct items if they want to, but this should offer a more exciting option.”

Naturally, with the page update, a new interrupt system was introduced. This system sees bosses build up caliber during combat, which, when filled, renders them defenseless. The Blade & Soul team states that the new system will function as a joint attack system, and the interrupt system will provide a “more powerful effect”.”

The Blade & Soul Revival UE4 update is expected in Q3 2021. In addition to the above, the new version will see an optimized combat interface, improved visual effects, and much more. This did not slow down the development of the current release, as Winds of Rage launched on May 12, bringing with it a new heroic dungeon.
